Understanding Alerts

Learn how the Alerts tab helps you monitor equipment conditions, review alarm events, and investigate potential operational issues in Enbase.

Overview

The Alerts tab displays alarms and notifications generated by your equipment. Alerts help operators identify abnormal operating conditions, equipment status changes, and other events that may require attention.

Alerts are generated automatically based on the configured monitoring rules for each asset.

Viewing Alerts

To view alerts:

  • Sign in to the Enbase Dashboard.
  • Select the asset you want to review.
  • Open the Alerts tab.

The Alerts tab displays current and historical alerts for the selected asset.

        Information Displayed

Depending on your organization's configuration, alerts may include:

                    Alert Types

The Alerts tab may include different types of alerts:

                    Warning Alerts

Warning alerts indicate that an operating value is approaching a configured limit and should be monitored.

                    Data Alarms

Data alarms are generated when monitored values exceed configured thresholds and may require investigation.

                    Equipment Status Alerts

Equipment status alerts indicate changes in equipment operating status, such as running, stopped, or other monitored conditions.

                    Reviewing Alerts

                    • Confirm the affected asset.
                    • Review the alert timestamp.
                    • Compare the alert with current gauge values.
                    • Review recent chart trends for additional context.
