Understanding Asset Status

Learn how to interpret asset status indicators in Enbase to quickly identify operating conditions, communication issues, and potential asset concerns.

Overview

The Asset Status provides a quick view of an asset's current operating and communication state within the Enbase Dashboard.

Status indicators help you determine whether an asset is actively reporting data, operating normally, or requires further review. The information displayed is based on the most recent data received from the asset.

Viewing Asset Status

To view an asset's status:

  • Sign in to the Enbase Dashboard.
  • Search for and select the asset you want to review.
  • Review the current status displayed within the Asset Dashboard.

The status shown reflects the latest information available for that asset.

        Common Status Indicators

Depending on your organization's configuration, you may see status indicators such as:

        • Running
        • Stopped
        • Offline
        • Communication Status
        • Active Alerts
        • Recent Activity

The status information available may vary depending on the equipment and monitoring configuration.

                    When an Asset Is Offline

An Offline status indicates the asset has entered a downtime state. Review the asset details, alerts, and recent activity to understand the current operating condition before contacting Support.

                    Helpful areas to review include:

                    • Current Alerts
                    • Downtime Events
                    • Offline History
                    • Latest Timestamp
                    • Charts and Recent Trends

These views can help provide additional context before opening a support request.
