Enbase Antenna Placement and Cellular Signal Best Practices
Learn how antenna placement can affect Enbase cellular connectivity and what to check when an Enbase Hub has a weak cellular signal.
Proper antenna placement helps support reliable cellular communication with an Enbase Hub by reducing unnecessary signal obstruction.
Why Antenna Placement Matters
In Enbase Compressor Control Panel installations, the external antenna supports cellular, Wi-Fi, and GPS functions and should be located outside of the enclosure.
Nearby equipment or poor placement can weaken the cellular signal and affect remote communication.
Antenna Placement Best Practices
When positioning an Enbase antenna:
- Install the antenna outside of the control panel enclosure.
- Position the antenna where surrounding equipment creates as little obstruction as practical.
- Be aware of large equipment, such as coolers, that may block or weaken the cellular signal.
- Use the provided mounting method appropriate for the installation.
What If the Cellular Signal Is Weak?
If cellular signal is poor, raising the antenna may help. The Enbase Compressor Control Panel guide recommends at least 15 feet of additional height when elevation is needed to improve the signal.
If Cellular Service Is Unavailable
Some Enbase deployments support satellite communication. Contact Enbase Support if cellular service remains unreliable or you need help with available communication options.
