Enbase Hub Installation

Learn the basic steps, requirements, and best practices for installing and commissioning an Enbase Hub.

Overview

The Enbase Hub is designed for installation in a variety of industrial environments and serves as the central communications gateway between field equipment and the Detechtion platform. Proper installation helps ensure reliable communications, accurate data collection, and long-term system performance.

Before You Begin

Before starting the installation, verify the following:

  • You have the correct Enbase Hub model for the application.
  • Required mounting hardware is available.
  • A compatible power source is available.
  • Communication hardware (cellular antenna, satellite equipment, Ethernet cable, etc.) is available if required.
  • The installation location meets environmental and safety requirements.
  • You have access to the latest Installation & Operations Guide.

              Installation Process

              A typical Enbase Hub installation follows these general steps:

              1. Select and prepare the installation location.
              2. Mount the Enbase Hub securely.
              3. Connect the power supply.
              4. Connect field devices and controllers, if applicable.
              5. Connect any required communication hardware.
              6. Power on the Hub and verify operation.
              7. Access the Enbase Hub Control Panel to configure the device.
              8. Complete system commissioning and verify communications.

                              Installation Considerations

                              • Install the Hub in a location that is protected from environmental hazards.
                              • Allow adequate space for cable routing and future maintenance.
                              • Follow all applicable electrical and safety regulations.
                              • Ensure communication antennas and cables are installed according to manufacturer recommendations.
                              • Verify all wiring before applying power.

                              After Installation

                              After the installation is complete:

                              • Verify the Hub powers on successfully.
                              • Confirm communication with connected equipment.
                              • Verify data is being transmitted to the Detechtion platform.
                                • Not all Enbase Hubs comes configured. Please reach out to our Compression Support team to confirm.
                              • Review configuration settings in the Enbase Hub Control Panel if applicable
                              • Perform any required operational testing before placing the system into service.
