How to Change Units and Display Settings in Enalysis

Learn how to switch between metric and imperial units, change between light and dark mode, and move between Enalysis versions.

Enalysis includes software preferences that allow you to adjust how information is displayed while you work. You can switch between metric and imperial units, select a light or dark theme, and move between Enalysis versions when a feature is available in only one version.

How do I switch between metric and imperial units?

Enalysis allows users who work in the imperial system, metric system, or both to change the units of measure while using the application.

1. Log in to Enalysis.

2. Use the Metric/Imperial selection available in Enalysis to change the displayed units of measure.

3. Continue working in the selected unit system. Your preferred unit of measure is retained throughout your session and for your next login.

Which units can Enalysis convert?

The Enalysis navigation guidance provides the following examples of values that can be converted:

  • Volume: MMscfd and e3m3/d; ft3 and m3
  • Mass: kg and lb; tons and tonnes
  • Temperature: °F and °C
  • Pressure: psig and kPag; psi and kPa
  • Distance: in and cm; ft and m

The exact unit options displayed can depend on the value you are reviewing.

Can I use different units while entering field data?

Yes. Detechtion’s field data guidance states that the Metric/Imperial controls can be selected multiple times during data entry. This can be useful when field measurements were collected using a mixture of metric and imperial units.

Always confirm the unit shown beside a field before entering a value so the measurement is recorded correctly.

How do I change between light and dark mode?

Enalysis allows you to switch between a light and dark theme based on your viewing preference or lighting conditions.

Use the theme control available in Enalysis to change the color scheme. Your theme preference is retained for the next time you log in.

Can I switch between New Enalysis and Legacy Enalysis?

Yes. The navigation guidance describes quick access between the different Enalysis versions so users can reach actions that may be available only in New Enalysis or Legacy Enalysis.

The source workflow uses a button on the right side of the footer in each application to move between versions.

Why might I need to switch versions?

Some functions may be available in only one Enalysis version. If a workflow or setting is not available in the version you are currently using, the version switch can provide access to the other application.

For example, the source training for report email notification settings directs users to Legacy Enalysis for that workflow.
