How to Identify Your Unit, Hub, and Device IDs
Learn how to identify your Enbase asset or unit number, Hub serial number, SIM information, cellular identifiers, and satellite device ID when contacting Detechtion Support.
When contacting Detechtion Support, you may be asked to provide an asset or unit number, Enbase Hub serial number, SIM information, cellular device identifier, or satellite device ID. These identifiers help our Support Team locate the correct equipment and investigate your request more efficiently.
Asset or Unit Number
The Asset Number or Unit Number identifies the equipment being monitored in Enbase.
You can typically find this information by opening the asset in the Enbase Dashboard and reviewing the asset details.
When contacting Support, provide the unit number exactly as it appears in Enbase.
Enbase Hub Serial Number
Each Enbase Hub has a unique serial number used to identify the physical device.
The serial number can typically be found on the equipment label attached to the Enbase Hub.
If you are contacting Support about a Hub or submitting a hardware return or replacement request, include the Hub serial number whenever possible.
Cellular SIM Information
For Enbase Hubs that use cellular communication, Support may request information associated with the installed SIM card or cellular modem.
Depending on the issue, this may include:
- SIM card number or ICCID
- IMEI, when applicable
- Cellular modem information
These identifiers help Support identify the cellular hardware and troubleshoot communication or connectivity issues.
Satellite Device ID
If your Enbase Hub communicates through satellite hardware, Support may ask for the satellite device identifier or serial number.
This information is typically located on the back Enbase Hub or its equipment label.
What Information Should I Provide to Support?
You do not need to locate every identifier before contacting Support. Provide as much of the following information as you have available:
- Company name
- Asset or unit number
- Enbase Hub serial number
- SIM, ICCID, IMEI, or other cellular device information, when applicable
- Satellite device ID, when applicable
- Description of the issue
- Screenshot or photo of the equipment label, if available
A clear photo of the equipment label can often help Support identify the information needed.
What If I Can't Find the ID?
If you cannot locate a serial number or device ID, do not remove equipment or disconnect wiring simply to find it.
Contact Detechtion Support and provide the asset or unit number along with any information you can safely access. Our Support Team can help determine what additional information is needed.
