How Do I Reset Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Follow These Steps to Reconnect Your Authenticator App and Sign In

Overview

If you've changed phones, replaced your authenticator app, lost access to your MFA device, or are unable to complete Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), you'll need your MFA to be reset before you can sign in again.

Multi-Factor Authentication helps protect your Enbase account by requiring a verification code when you sign in.

When Should I Use This Article?

• You purchased a new phone.
• You replaced your authenticator application.
• You accidentally deleted your authenticator app.
• Your phone was lost or replaced.
• Your MFA verification code is no longer working.
• You no longer have access to your MFA device.

Before You Request an MFA Reset

• Your name
• Company name
• Username or email address
• The reason you need your MFA reset

Providing this information helps verify your account and process your request more quickly.

How to Reset Your MFA

For security reasons, users cannot reset their own Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

If you need your MFA reset:
1. Contact your organization's Enbase User Administrator.

OR

2. Contact the Detechtion Support Team if your administrator is unavailable or unable to assist.

Once your MFA has been reset, you'll be prompted to configure MFA again the next time you sign in.

Setting Up MFA Again

1. Sign in using your Enbase username and password.
2. Follow the prompts to configure Multi-Factor Authentication.
3. Scan the QR code using Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator.
4. Enter the verification code generated by your authenticator app.
5. Complete the sign-in process.

Using a New Phone?

• Install Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator.
• Request an MFA reset from your User Administrator or Detechtion Support.
• Complete the MFA setup process during your next login.
• Do not attempt to use verification codes from your previous device.

MFA Code Still Isn't Working?

Before requesting assistance:
• Verify your phone's Date & Time is set to Automatic.
• Verify your phone's Time Zone is correct.
• Confirm your computer's date and time are also accurate.

If the issue persists, contact your User Administrator or Detechtion Support.
