How to Use System Status to Troubleshoot an Enbase Hub

Learn how to use System Status in the Enbase Hub Control Panel to review system metrics and troubleshoot Hub related issues.

The System Status area of the Hub Control Panel provides information about the different Tasks and subsystems operating inside the Enbase Hub.

It is one of the most useful places to begin when troubleshooting a Hub related problem.

What Does System Status Show?

System Status displays information called System Metrics. Each section represents a Hub subsystem or Task and includes information such as:

  • Metric name
  • Current value
  • Description

These metrics can provide additional information about how different parts of the Hub are operating.

 How to Review System Status

1. Open the Hub Control Panel.

2. Navigate to System Status.

3. Locate the subsystem or Task related to the issue you are investigating.

4. Review the available System Metrics.

5. Select Refresh to retrieve the latest information.

Note: System Status does not automatically refresh. Select Refresh whenever you want to retrieve the latest values.

Use System Status With Other Troubleshooting Tools

System Status is most useful when combined with other information available in the Hub Control Panel.

Monitoring > Grid View

Check the affected Tag's current value, Scan Status, Scan Errors, and alarms.

Event History > System Events

Look for warnings or errors generated by the Hub around the time the problem occurred.

Event History > Alarms

Review alarms associated with the asset and determine which Tags were affected.

Using these areas together can provide a clearer picture of what was happening when the issue occurred.

Exporting System Status

System Status information can be exported for additional analysis or to assist Enbase Support with troubleshooting.

When Should I Contact Enbase Support?

If the System Status information shows an error you do not recognize, or the issue continues after basic troubleshooting, contact Enbase Support. Include the asset or Hub name and any relevant System Status or Event History information.
