How to View Alarm History and System Events in Enbase Hub Control Panel

Learn how to use Event History in the Enbase Hub Control Panel to review previous alarms, warnings, errors, and system events.

The Enbase Hub stores historical information that can help you understand what happened before or during an equipment issue.

The Event History area of the Hub Control Panel includes two primary types of information:

  • Alarm Events
  • System Events

Viewing Alarm History

Alarm Events are created when a configured Tag alarm detects an alarm condition. Open Event History and select Alarms to review historical alarm information.

The Alarm history includes information such as:

  • Alarm date and time
  • Tag name
  • Tag value when the alarm occurred
  • Alarm state
  • Alarm trigger
  • Alarm message

This information can help determine which Tag triggered an alarm and what value was recorded when the event occurred.

Filtering Alarm History

Alarm Events can be filtered by date to help narrow your investigation to a specific period. Alarm history can also be refreshed or exported for additional analysis.

Viewing System Events

System Events contain information generated by the Hub's internal subsystems and Tasks. Open Event History and select System Events.

System Events may include:

  • Information events
  • Warnings
  • Errors

Each event includes information such as:

  • Event date and time
  • Event type
  • Source
  • Additional event information
  • Message

When Should I Review System Events?

System Events can be especially useful when troubleshooting communication or Hub related problems. If you are investigating an issue such as a Scan Error, reviewing System Events alongside the affected Tag can provide additional context about what the Hub was experiencing at that time.

Exporting Event Information

Alarm Events and System Events can be exported if you need to perform additional analysis or provide information to Enbase Support.
