How to View and Trend Asset Data in OneView

Learn how to select measurements and use the OneView Trends tab to chart asset data over 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or a custom time range.

The Trends tab lets you chart one or more measurements for a single compressor so you can review how values changed over time.

Open the Trends Tab

1. Open the compressor's Asset Detail page.

2. Select Trends.

3. Use the filter or Search tags field to locate the measurements you want to review.

4. Select the measurement or measurements you want to plot.

Choose a Time Range

Use the time range controls to choose 24 Hours, 7 Days, 30 Days, or a Custom range.

Use the Chart Controls

The chart includes icon based controls for common actions. Depending on the icon, you can download the chart image, toggle a series visibility, zoom in or out, or refresh and reset the view.

Use the Legend

When measurements are plotted, the legend identifies each series and its unit of measure so you can distinguish the lines on the chart.

 Tips for Troubleshooting

  • Start with Asset Vitals if you are not sure which tag is behaving unusually
  • Use Z Score and recent sparklines to identify candidate measurements
  • Choose a time range that matches the time of the event you are investigating
  • Compare several related measurements when you need context around a shutdown or abnormal condition
