Understanding AI Shutdown Analysis in OneView

Learn what the OneView Explain this shutdown feature reviews, what it returns, and how to use AI Shutdown Analysis as part of a compressor investigation.

AI Shutdown Analysis is available within Root Cause Analysis and is designed to help summarize the data surrounding a selected compressor shutdown.

What Information Does It Review?

According to the OneView training manual, the tool reviews approximately:

  • 7 days of alarm information
  • 30 days of shutdown history
  • 6 to 12 hours of sensor data around the selected shutdown

What Does the Tool Provide?

The tool generates a likely explanation of what happened and recommends next steps based on the information available for the selected shutdown.

How to Run the Analysis

1. Open the compressor's Asset Detail page.

2. Select Root Cause Analysis.

3. Choose the shutdown event you want to investigate.

4. Select Explain this shutdown.

5. Review the AI generated summary and recommended next steps.

6. Use the Measurements panel to review the raw data when additional validation is needed.

  • The analysis depends on the quality and completeness of the available telemetry and event history
  • A shutdown must be selected before the feature can run
  • The result is an investigation aid and should be validated against the underlying data and normal operating procedures
