Understanding Analog and Digital Control Outputs in Enbase

Learn how Advanced Analog Control Output and Digital Control Output Functions manage target values and Manual or Auto operation in Enbase.

The Enbase Function Library includes Advanced Functions for controlling analog and digital output values. These Functions support both Auto operation and a Manual override value.

Analog Control Output

Analog Control Output changes the output toward a Target Value at a configured Rate of Change. It can also use a Starting Value and optional minimum and maximum output limits.

  • AUTO mode uses the Target Value.
  • MANUAL mode uses the configured Manual Output Value.

Digital Control Output

Digital Control Output sets the output to the Target Value in AUTO mode and uses the Manual Output Value in MANUAL mode.

Why Manual and Auto Modes Matter

The Manual mode provides a defined override path while Auto mode allows the Function to follow the configured target from the automation logic.

Safety and Configuration

Control Output Functions can affect physical outputs and connected equipment. Changes should be performed only by authorized users who understand the application. Contact Enbase Support for assistance with output configuration or unexpected control behavior.
