Understanding Asset Vitals in OneView
Learn how to use Asset Vitals to review current tag values, recent trends, 7 day averages, Z Scores, and measurement status for a compressor.
Asset Vitals provides a detailed view of the measurements reported for a single compressor. It combines current values with recent trend information so you can quickly identify readings that may need closer review.
What You Can See
- Current Value and unit of measure
- A visual gauge showing the current reading within its expected range
- A 7 day trend sparkline
- The 7 day average
- The 7 day Z Score
- A status for the individual measurement
Search and Filter Tags
Use the category filter or Search tags field to narrow the measurement list. This is useful when an asset has many reported tags.
Understanding Z Score
The 7 day Z Score indicates how many standard deviations the current reading is from its 7 day average. A larger absolute Z Score can help you identify a measurement that is behaving unusually compared with its recent history.
Measurement Status
A tag can show a status such as Normal, Danger, or No Data independently from the asset's overall fleet status. Danger corresponds to a reading beyond that tag's configured HiHi or LoLo limit.
Move From Vitals to Trends
Select the measurements you want to investigate and use the Trends tab for a larger chart over a selected time range.
