Understanding Basic vs. Advanced Enbase Functions
Understand the difference between Basic and Advanced Enbase Functions, including availability, subscription requirements, and common examples.
The Enbase Function Library separates Functions into Basic and Advanced tiers. The tier determines which Functions are available on an individual Enbase Hub.
Basic Functions
By default, an Enbase Hub has access to the Basic Functions in the Function Library. Basic Functions cover many common monitoring, calculation, status, and logic needs.
- Run status and device status Functions
- Math and linear scaling Functions
- Conditional and comparison logic
- Historical Total and Pump Stroke Counter
- OnScanError and Setpoint Check
Advanced Functions
Advanced Functions require a higher Hub subscription level and may add an additional monthly data subscription. Examples include PID Controller, control outputs, Linear Ramp Controller, Exclusion Zones, timers, counters, signal processing, MPU Speed, and Static Rod Load calculations.
Why a Function May Not Appear
Function availability is controlled at the Hub level. If an Advanced Function is not available for a Hub, the Hub subscription level may not include it.
