Understanding Charts in Enbase
Learn how to use historical chart data in Enbase to monitor asset performance, identify trends, and investigate changes in operating conditions.
Overview
The Charts tab allows you to view historical operating data for an asset using line graphs. Charts help you analyze equipment performance over time, identify trends, and investigate changes in operating conditions.
By default, the Charts tab displays the previous 24 hours of available data. The displayed time range can be adjusted using the available date and time selection options.
Viewing Charts
- Sign in to the Enbase Dashboard.
- Select the asset you want to review.
- Open the Charts tab.
The dashboard will display historical data for the selected asset.
Understanding Chart Data
Charts display historical values collected from your equipment over a selected period.
Depending on your organization's configuration, charts may display:
- Pressure readings
- Temperature readings
- Engine values
- Compressor operating values
- Other monitored equipment data
The information available varies depending on the asset and configured tags.
Changing the Time Range
By default, the Charts tab displays the previous 24 hours of data.
Use the available date and time controls to select a different time range when reviewing historical information.
Changing the time range allows you to:
- Review recent equipment activity
- Investigate specific events
- Compare operating conditions over different periods
Reading the Chart
Charts display how monitored values change over time.
When reviewing a chart, consider:
- Overall operating trends
- Sudden increases or decreases
- Values approaching configured alarm limits
- Changes before or after an equipment event
Reviewing trends can help identify developing issues before they become critical.
