Understanding Enbase Battery Saver
Learn how Enbase Battery Saver helps prevent deep battery discharge, what triggers panel power disconnect, and how power is restored.
Battery Saver is an Enbase Compressor Control Panel feature designed to help prevent deep battery discharge after the compressor shuts down. When configured, Battery Saver can disconnect power to the entire panel based on time, battery voltage, or both.
How Battery Saver Works
The Enbase Panel continuously monitors whether the compressor is running. When the compressor shuts down, Battery Saver begins monitoring the conditions configured for the power disconnect.
- The system starts a timer after the compressor shuts down.
- The system tracks battery voltage.
- If the enabled timer expires or the enabled battery voltage threshold is reached, the system begins a countdown to disconnect panel power.
- When the countdown ends, a relay trips and power to the panel is disconnected.
Battery Saver Trigger Options
Battery Saver can be configured to use a timer based trigger, a voltage based trigger, or both. The specific values used should match the requirements of the installed system and should only be changed by authorized personnel.
How to Restore Panel Power
After Battery Saver has disconnected panel power, power must be restored locally.
- Go to the Enbase Compressor Control Panel.
- Press the Power Up/Power Reset button in the panel.
- Continue pressing the button until the system boots and resets the Battery Saver relay.
What to Expect When Battery Saver Is Active
Because Battery Saver disconnects power to the entire panel, Enbase Panel functions are unavailable until power is restored locally. A powered down panel after a compressor shutdown may therefore be expected when Battery Saver has been configured and its disconnect condition has been met.
When to Contact Enbase Support
Contact Enbase Support if the panel powers down unexpectedly, the Power Up/Power Reset process does not restore the system, or you need to change the Battery Saver timer or voltage settings and are unsure of the approved values for the installation.
