Understanding Enbase Counters

Learn about the Advanced Enbase Count Down, Count Up, and Count Up or Down Functions and how trigger and reset inputs affect the count.

The Enbase Function Library includes Advanced counter Functions for tracking discrete events using rising edge Trigger inputs.

Count Down Counter

Count Down Counter starts from a configured Counter Preset and decrements the count on each rising edge of the Trigger. A Reset returns the count to the Preset.

Count Up Counter

Count Up Counter increments on each rising edge of the Trigger until the configured Counter Preset is reached. Reset returns the count to zero.

Count Up/Down Counter

Count Up/Down Counter supports separate inputs for incrementing and decrementing the count. It can reset to zero or reset to the Preset value.

Counter Output

The counter Functions return a Done value that indicates the completion state of the counter.
