Understanding Equipment Run Status in Enbase
Learn how the Basic Equipment Run Status Function uses fault and state codes to determine the current running status of connected equipment.
Equipment Run Status is a Basic Enbase Function that determines the running status of equipment from configured Fault Code and State Code information.
Primary Inputs
- Fault Code Tag that stores the cause of shutdown
- State Code Tag that stores the operating state of the controller
- Is Test Mode input used to prevent fault annunciation while equipment is being tested
State Code Mapping
The Function can be configured with codes that represent manual stop, running, unknown state, no active fault, ready to start, shutdown, and running conditions.
Function Output
The result is the current running status of the equipment.
Why Correct Mapping Matters
Equipment controllers can use different numeric values for state and fault conditions. The correct code lists are required for Enbase to interpret the equipment state correctly.
When to Contact Enbase Support
Contact Enbase Support if the displayed Run Status does not match the actual equipment condition or if you need help mapping a controller into the Equipment Run Status Function.
