Understanding Gauges in Enbase
Learn how to use the Gauges tab in Enbase to monitor real-time asset conditions, interpret operating ranges, and identify potential issues.
Overview
The Gauges tab is the default view when opening an asset in the Enbase Dashboard. It provides a quick snapshot of the asset's current operating conditions by displaying the latest values received from the equipment.
This view helps operators quickly determine whether equipment is operating within normal ranges.
Viewing Gauges
- Sign in to the Enbase Dashboard.
- Select the asset you want to review.
- Open the Gauges tab.
The dashboard displays the most recent values reported by the asset.
Understanding Gauge Information
Each gauge represents a monitored value collected from the equipment.
Depending on your organization's configuration, gauges may display:
- Current value
- Measurement units
- Tag name
- Last update timestamp
- Color indicating the current operating range
The information displayed may vary by asset and configuration.
Understanding Gauge Colors
Gauge colors help identify the current operating condition of a value based on configured setpoints.
Depending on your organization's configuration, colors may indicate:
- Normal operating conditions
- Warning conditions
- Alarm conditions
If a gauge displays a warning or alarm condition, review the Alerts tab for additional information.
Last Known Value
The Gauges tab displays the last known value received from the equipment.
If communications with the asset are interrupted, the displayed value may not represent the equipment's current operating condition.
Always review the timestamp to determine when the value was last updated.
Why Doesn't a Gauge Update?
- The asset is offline.
- Communications with the equipment have been interrupted.
- The value has not changed since the last update.
- Data is temporarily unavailable.
If values appear outdated for an extended period, contact Compression Support.
