Understanding Linear Ramp Control in Enbase
Learn how the Advanced Linear Ramp Controller maps an input range to an output range and supports deadband plus Manual and Auto operation.
Linear Ramp Controller is an Advanced Enbase Function that linearly maps a current input value from a defined input range to a defined output range.
How the Linear Ramp Is Defined
- Input Current Value
- Input Minimum and Input Maximum
- Output Minimum and Output Maximum
Output Deadband
The Function includes an Output Deadband that can reduce unnecessary output movement and help reduce wear on controlled equipment.
Manual and Auto Modes
In AUTO mode, the Function calculates the output from the configured linear relationship. In MANUAL mode, the output can use a configured Manual Output Value.
Use in Compressor Control
The Enbase Compressor Control Panel can use linear ramp based control strategies for driver speed. In those applications, current operating values such as pressure or temperature can be mapped to a target driver speed range.
