Understanding Performance Summary Metrics in OneView

Learn how to interpret Runtime, Mechanical Availability, Communications Availability, Downtime Events, and Active Alarms on the OneView Asset Overview page.

The Asset Overview page includes a Performance Summary that provides a quick 30 day snapshot of the selected compressor.

Runtime

Runtime is the percentage of the last 30 days that the asset was running. Select this metric to move into deeper downtime analysis.

Mechanical Availability

Mechanical Availability is the percentage of the last 30 days without a mechanically caused outage.

Communications Availability

Communications Availability is the percentage of the last 30 days that the monitoring device was reporting data.

Downtime Events

Downtime Events is the number of downtime occurrences recorded during the last 30 days.

Active Alarms

Active Alarms shows the current number of alarms, including the breakdown of Danger and Warning conditions when available.

How to Use the Summary

Use the Performance Summary as a starting point. A low Runtime value may lead you to Downtime Analysis, while low Communications Availability may indicate that the No Data reporting tools deserve closer attention.
