Understanding Setpoint Check in Enbase
Learn how the Basic Setpoint Check Function evaluates an Enbase value against a High or Low setpoint with deadband and enable control.
Setpoint Check is a Basic Enbase Function that evaluates a value against a configured High or Low Setpoint limit.
Function Result
The Function returns 1 when the input is beyond the specified Setpoint limit. It returns 0 when the value is within the Setpoint limit, including the configured Deadband.
Setpoint Check Inputs
- Input value to evaluate
- Setpoint limit
- Deadband
- Setpoint Type, configured as LOW or HIGH
- Enable input, where 1 performs the check and a disabled state forces a return value of 0
Why Deadband Is Used
Deadband provides a range around the Setpoint used by the Function when determining whether the input is inside or beyond the configured limit.
