Understanding the Enalysis Dashboard
Learn how to read the Enalysis dashboard, understand fleet level KPIs, identify reporting gaps, and review Blowby, flagged assets, power savings, and production opportunities.
The Enalysis dashboard provides a fleet level summary of the compressors assigned to your user profile. It is designed to help you quickly review fleet activity, performance, and higher value opportunities that may need attention.
Instead of opening every compressor individually, you can use the dashboard to identify areas of interest and then drill into the assets that require a closer look.
What information is available on the dashboard?
Depending on your access and the assets assigned to your profile, the dashboard can include the following fleet level information:
- Asset status summary: A count and horsepower summary of assets by status, including Active, Standby, Database, and Surplus.
- Percent reported: The percentage of active reciprocating and rotary screw compressors that have generated an Enalysis report within the last 30 days.
- Horsepower utilization: A fleet level view of how much available horsepower is being used.
- Cylinder utilization: A fleet level view of cylinder capacity utilization for applicable compressors.
- Total horsepower and throughput: Summary values for horsepower used and reported compressor throughput.
- Fuel and electricity usage: Fleet level totals for reported fuel and electricity use.
- Opportunities and risk areas: Dashboard views can highlight Blowby, flagged assets, reporting gaps, power saving opportunities, and incremental production opportunities.
How should I use the dashboard?
The dashboard is most useful as a starting point. Review the fleet summary first, then open the dashboard view that matches the issue or opportunity you want to investigate.
- Review reporting coverage to identify active compressors that may not be sending current information.
- Review warning and severe conditions to identify assets that may need investigation.
- Review Blowby to identify reciprocating compressor cylinders with elevated calculated Blowby.
- Review power saving and production opportunities to prioritize assets with potential operating value.
- Open the individual asset, Vital Signs, or latest Enalysis report when more detail is needed.
Review Blowby from the dashboard
The Blowby overview helps identify active reciprocating compressor units and cylinders that exceed configured Blowby warning or critical thresholds.
From this view, you can focus on the highest Blowby values, review related trends, and move into the asset Vital Signs or latest Enalysis report for additional context.
Blowby is an indication of compression inefficiency and can provide information about the health and efficiency of valves and piston rings. A separate knowledge article explains Blowby in more detail.
Review flagged assets
The Flagged overview lists active assets with warning or critical flags. These flags can help direct attention to measured or calculated conditions that may require additional review.
Use the flagged asset view to identify the affected compressor, review the flagged value, trend the condition when available, and open the latest report or Vital Signs for more detail.
Find compressors that have not reported
The Non Reported overview identifies active assets that have exceeded their expected reporting interval.
Assets are organized by how many days they are overdue, which can help you identify compressors that may require follow up before making fleet level decisions from older data.
Review power saving opportunities
The Savings overview identifies active assets with potential power saving opportunities.
For reciprocating compressors, opportunities can be associated with conditions such as bypass, Blowby, or high interstage pressure drops. For rotary screw compressors, opportunities can include bypass, over compression, or under compression.
Use this view to identify higher value opportunities, then review the individual asset and its current operating conditions before making changes.
Review production opportunities
The Production overview identifies active assets with potential incremental production opportunities.
The list can be used to prioritize opportunities and distinguish between assets categorized as field limited and non field limited. Open the individual compressor to review the operating details behind the opportunity.
Why does reporting coverage matter?
The dashboard summarizes the latest information available in Enalysis. If an active compressor has not reported recently, the fleet level view may not reflect its current operating condition.
Reviewing the Percent Reported and Non Reported areas helps you understand how complete the available fleet data is before using dashboard KPIs to prioritize work.
