Understanding the OneView No Data Report
Learn how the OneView No Data Report identifies compressors that have stopped reporting telemetry and helps prioritize communications issues.
The No Data Report identifies assets that have not reported telemetry within the selected window. It is designed to help you find communications dropouts before stale data hides the compressor's true condition.
What the Report Shows
- Total Silent and Fleet Percent Silent
- Groups for assets silent approximately 24 hours to 7 days, 7 to 30 days, and 30 days or more
- Communications Availability percentage
- Silent For duration
- Severity
How to Investigate a Silent Compressor
1. Open No Data Report.
2. Review Total Silent and Fleet Percent Silent to understand whether the issue affects one asset or a larger portion of the fleet.
3. Locate the compressor in the appropriate silent duration group.
4. Review Silent For and Communications Availability.
5. Review the Severity rating.
6. If the information points to a communications dropout, contact Support with the asset number and the Silent For duration.
No Data Does Not Mean the Compressor Is Down
No Data means OneView has not heard from the monitoring device. The compressor may still be running, but OneView cannot confirm the actual operating state until telemetry resumes.
