Understanding User Roles & Permissions

Learn how user roles and permissions work in Enbase, including asset access, administrative functions, reports, alarms, permission requests, and account access management.

Overview

User roles determine what information and features each user can access within the Enbase Dashboard.

Permissions are assigned based on your organization's security requirements and help ensure users only have access to the information they need.

If you require additional access, your organization's Enbase administrator or Compression Support can assist.

How User Roles Work

Each user is assigned a role that controls the actions they can perform within Enbase.

Depending on your assigned role, you may be able to:

  • View assets
  • View alarms and notifications
  • Access reports
  • Manage users
  • Configure settings
  • Perform administrative functions

The permissions available to you depend on your organization's configuration.

              Viewing Your Access

              • Verify you are signed into the correct account.
              • Confirm you are using the correct email address.
              • Contact your organization's Enbase administrator if applicable.
              • Contact Compression Support if additional assistance is needed.

                      Requesting Additional Access

If you need additional permissions, please provide:

                      • Your name
                      • Company name
                      • Email address
                      • Asset(s) you need access to
                      • Description of the access requested

Requests may require approval from your organization's administrator before changes are made.

                                Common Reasons Access Is Limited

                                • Your assigned role does not include the requested permission.
                                • You have not been assigned to the appropriate asset.
                                • Your account is inactive.
                                • Access has not yet been approved.
